Experienced aviation entrepreneur and start-up specialist with wide-ranging international Board level experience. 28 years in aviation initially with British Airways before focusing on the low cost airline sector. In 1999, joined the low cost airline Go, as Director of Strategy. Appointed Finance Director as part of the MBO of Go from British Airways. After the takeover of Go by easyJet, advised on a variety of airline projects including a MBO of a small regional UK airline; AIM flotation, Silverjet and a number of LCC start-up's. Founded Mango Aviation Partners in 2004 to provide aviation advisory services. 2005 - 2009 I was based in the Middle East working as CEO initially in the founding and set-up of Sama in Saudi Arabia before moving to Jazeera in Kuwait. In early 2010, I managed the development of a strategic plan on behalf of Philippine Airlines to restructure their regional airline Air Philippines into a low cost carrier, PAL Express. From June 2010 to May 2011, I was Interim Managing Director for Peach, a new Japanese LCC start-up. 2012 included 6 months with VietJetAir in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, assisting them on a variety of strategic initiatives. In March 2013, I was appointed Deputy CEO of HK Express tasked with it's transformation into Hong Kong's first LCC. Launch of HK Express as an LCC was successfully achieved in Oct 2013. Promoted to CEO and Accountable Manager in April 2015, I managed HK Express through it's restructuring into profitability, as well as rapid growth from 5 aircraft to 27, flying to destinations across Asia. I also led the founding of the world's first LCC Alliance, U-Fly Alliance, and was appointed its CEO in January 2016. In Oct 2017, I moved from HKExpress to Uriel Aviation Holdings Ltd as Vice Chairman tasked with expanding this fast-growing travel and technology group.
